The Bruce County International
Plowing Match Committee has launched an online Auction!
Using technology to reach interested individuals world wide,
everyone can be part of the bidding action - a first in
International Plowing Match history!!
The Online Auction features:

The Original Artwork by Ken
Thornburn of Tara as seen in the 2008 IPM Poster. The original
illustration in pencil crayon and chalk pastels is matted and
mounted in a frame approximately 23 by 26 inches.

Also available are two of the
collectible Peterbuilt IPM Trucks with end dump trailer. Truck
#7 and Truck #9 are available individually by online auction.
Trucks #10 through 312 are sold out.

The IPM Committee is also
pleased to offer one of their Black, White and Red Souvenir
Hockey Jersey’s. Promoting the IPM with the logo on the front,
the Hockey Sweater has autographs by: Doug Gilmour, Marcel
Dionee, Dave Ellett, Rick Ley, Dale Hawerchuck, Paul Coffee,
Steve Thomas, Don Lever, Actor Chris Bolton of the TV show "Rent
a Goalie", Jim Cuddy of the band "Blue Rodeo", NHL Referee Kevin
Pollock and his father Clark Pollock a well known O.H.A. Referee
from Bruce County.
Bidding can take place until
11:59pm on September 1st, 2008. The winning bidders will be notified
and invited to pick up their items from the IPM Headquarters office
in Teeswater before the IPM. Payment will be accepted by Cash or
Certified Cheque. Reserved prices are in effect on each of the
online auction items.

The International Plowing Match will be held Tuesday September 16th
through Saturday September 20th on the farms of Wayne and Wendy
McKague and neighbours north-east of Teeswater at the corner of
Bruce Road 6 and Highway 4. Tens of thousands of people are expected
to visit the five day event featuring farm exhibits; plowing
competitions; entertainment; corral events; antique, family
lifestyle and education programs. Exhibitor and volunteer
opportunities are still available please call 1-877-IPM-2008 for
details. Approximately 2000 volunteers are needed for the event
which will welcome tens of thousands of people to the area. |
