2008 International Plowing Match

IPM hosts OPA Directors

Go Back

The weekend of Saturday May 24th and Sunday May 25th Ontario Plowmen's Association (OPA) Staff and Directors were in Bruce County, host of the 2008 International Plowing Match.

OPA President Graeme Craig of Huron County organized the event as part of an effort to bring the OPA Directors to the site, learn about the surrounding communities and meet with Committee Members before the IPM is held in Teeswater September 16 to 20th, 2008.

OPA Directors represent 51 branch Plowmen Association's from across the province and were on hand to enjoy sunny Bruce County weather....a sample of what organizers are hoping for this September!

IPM Chairman Jack Riley, Committee Chairs and some of their Committee members met with the OPA at the Formosa Community Centre. Saturday the group had a meet and greet style event followed by a wonderful meal prepared by the "Formosa Cooks". A brief Breakfast meeting was held Sunday morning at Boomer's Cosy Restaurant followed by a tour of the host farm and IPM Site.

Representatives from across the province with the Ontario Plowmen's Association
meet with Bruce County IPM committees Saturday May 24th at the Formosa
Community Centre. Approximately 150 people attended the event held in
the host municipality of the IPM to be held this September near Teeswater.
