- With less than a month to the opening of the International Plowing
Match (IPM) 2008, the Partnership Committee was very pleased to
recognize CKNX`s in kind donation of promotional efforts and
entertainment to IPM 2008 in the amount of $100,000. CKNX is one of
two Pride of Bruce Sponsors, the other being Ontario Power
Generation. The executive and several of the committee chairpeople
were on hand to personally thank Scott Pettigrew, AM920 CKNX Program
Director and Jen Voisin, Community Marketing Representative.
Throughout the last year CKNX has promoted IPM activities and
events. They will continue to provide IPM 2008 great coverage during
the match with The Talk Show featuring Bryan Allen live from the
site and on your way to the IPM tune into AM920 CKNX for traffic
reports. AM920's Farm Editor Andrew Campbell will have multiple
reports on the IPM leading up to and throughout the match.
A big highlight will be the line up of Canadian entertainers on the
CKNX and Main IPM stage each of the five days of the match. Greg
Hanna, who was raised on a farm in eastern Ontario will be flying in
from Nashville, Sean Hogan of Saskatoon will be stopping by as he
moves his singing career to Nashville this fall as well, Diane Chase
and Jamie Warren will be coming from the Kitchener Waterloo area to
perform and up and comer Craig Moritz of Edmonton is scheduled to
