Ontario's Lieutenant Governor David C. Onley to attend the 2008 IPM.

With just hours to the opening of the 2008 International Plowing Match being held near Teeswater organizers have received confirmation that Ontario's Lieutenant Governor David C. Onley is planning to attend.

Arriving Wednesday morning, Mr. Onley will have time to tour the IPM Site before appearing on the Main Stage at 11:45am - the second day of the IPM.

The IPM opens it's five day show Tuesday September 16th at 8:30am. A parade begins at 10am touring the IPM grounds, winding through the Tented City Streets and Main Stage area before the ceremonies officially opening the IPM is held at 11:30am.

An Interfaith Worship Church Service was held Sunday afternoon at the Teeswater Community Centre.

The IPM is hosted by farmers Wayne and Wendy McKague and neighbours who together have offered more than 1000 acres to host the event. A Sold Out Tented City consisting of 650 Exhibitors and approximately 2000 volunteers will be on hand to welcome tens of thousands of visitors from across the province.

The IPM runs Tuesday September 16th to Saturday September 20th between 8:30am and 5pm daily northeast of Teeswater along Highway 4.
